Confirmation of participation, Text Editing and Upload Photo

Please confirm your participation at the conference by clicking the "Confirm" button of your contribution. Please see below how to proceed.

By May 20, we need

  • an announcement text for your lecture as well as
  • your short bio (CV) and
  • a photo

for the publication on the Internet as well as in the printed conference program.
With the help of our conference portal you can upload and edit this information yourself.

By September 16, 2019 we will need your contribution to the conference proceedings. More information will follow.

How to proceed?

  1. Log onto the portal (click on "My tekom" in the upper right of the screen) using the same login information that you used when submitting your contributions.
  2. Read this quick reference guide and then open the conference tool (click on "My tekom in the upper right of the screen). The conference tool will open in a new window.
  3. Below the blue area you can find the list with your contributions. The first entry of the list is pre-selected. Please click on the desired list entry.
  4. Note: You will always see a „list“ even if you only submitted one entry. We hope that you will participate in future tekom conferences, and in this way a “genuine” list will be built.
  5. Below the list you can find the work area with the tabs “Submission” (for all submissions) and “Conference Program” (only for approved submissions). If you have an approved submission, the tab “Conference Program” is already selected.
  6. On the tab „Conference Program“ you can edit your announcement text, CV and upload your speaker photo. The text for the announcement and the CV are preset from your submission. You can edit these texts as you feel inclined. There is no formatting available.
  7. At the end of the "Conference Program" tab your will find the "Confirm" button. Please confirm your participation.
  8. Note: If you are a co-speaker you can only edit your own CV and photo. If you are a main speaker you can edit the announcement text, your own personal information as well as the information of your co-speaker.
  9. To upload a photo, select the respective file from your local PC with “Search” and click on “Upload” to upload the file onto the portal. After the successful upload the image will be displayed.
  10. Note: We only accept RGB images as JPG or PNG files. As is customary with the tekom conference program, your photo will be converted into a black-and-white image.
  11. If needed you can review your submission on the tab “Submission”.
  12. IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to save your changes by clicking the „Save“ button.
  13. Close the conference tool with the help of your browser.
