      Dr. Michael Fritz, tekom / tcworld GmbH, Germany

Michael Fritz holds a PhD in media sciences and a degree in business administration and specializes in marketing. He worked for several associations, e.g. as head of an institute for lifelong learning. Since 1996 he is Chief Executive Officer of Gesellschaft für Technische  Kommunikation e.V. tekom. Since 2001 he is also Chief Executive Officer of tcworld GmbH, a company providing services for tekom.

        Jang Graat, Netherlands
Jang F.M. Graat studied Physics, Psychology and Philosophy. Worked in high-tech computer business for almost 25 years as systems designer, technical writer, trainer and consultant. Started his own business 17 years ago. Has presented on a wide variety of topics in conferences around the globe. His main focus is on explaining technology to non-technical audiences and explaining complex concepts in a way that even his mother-in-law can understand. Has taught himself programming and now spends most of his time creating user-friendly tools based on FrameMaker and DITA. Loves to ride his Moto Guzzi to a conference (but that only works in some cases). Does not always wear the Dutch war colors on his cheeks.
    Louise Harrison, SDL, England
Louise Harrison has an B.A. in Modern European Languages and an M.A. in Translation Studies. She worked in-house at SDL for a number of years, first as part of the project management team and then transferring to the office responsible for translation into English. As a member of SDL’s English Network Office, Louise completed her translation training by working on a number of key accounts and a wide variety of texts, eventually reaching the position of Senior Translator. It was during this time that she began to develop an interest in language consultancy.
Since leaving SDL in 2010, Louise has been working as a freelancer with a diverse set of skills: as well as being a translator in a variety of fields with a focus on technical texts, she is also a proof-reader and a trainer on writing using Controlled Natural Language. She has developed her advanced knowledge in this area through her close collaboration with some of SDL’s most high-profile technical clients. In the past year she has held a number of workshops for technical authors in the USA and continental Europe, from which the feedback has been extremely positive.

  Françoise Bajon, Version Internationale, France
Françoise Bajon is the General Manager of Version internationale. She founded the company in 1990 and developed it as a key player on the localization French market, later extending its competence to medical, technical and marcom translations.  She was elected President of ELIA – the European Language Industry Association – in November 2011. In December, she was nominated at the LIND-web board, an initiative created by the DGT (Directorate General – Translation) at the European Commission. At ELIA, she has impulsed numerous initiatives, in particular several ones aiming at improving translators’ employability and developing relationships between the academic and the professional worlds to bridge the gap between the two. With her teams, she is involved in the challenge of Post-Editing (after Machine-Translation), about which she already gave several workshops.

Stéphane Arnaud is business developer at euroscript International, a leading company providing customers with global solutions in content management. He has more than 15 years of experience in bringing value added services to demanding organizations whose success relies on the quality and the consistency of their technical documentation.

  Marc Lestrade, euroscript, France
Marc Lestrade graduated from the University of Paris with a PHD in Geography and also holds two Master degrees. He has held many management positions for companies such as McKinsey & Company, Dorma, Accenture and Siemens. Today he is CEO of euroscript Services in France.
  Cedric Lemarchand, GE Healthcare, France
Cedric Lemarchand is a manager for GE Healthcare. He leads a global team of 55 people that are in charge of the creation, maintenance and distribution of technical publications. The team is responsible for the ownership of the applications.

  Stuart Culshaw, IBM, France
Stuart Culshaw is a Content Strategist at IBM, providing communication support to IBM's mergers and acquisitions teams and helping to facilitate the integration of newly acquired employees. Prior to that, Stuart worked as a technical communicator, marketing writer, translator and web site developer for companies of various sizes, including five years as a freelance contractor. Originally from Lancashire, England, Stuart speaks fluent French and has lived and worked in France for his entire professional life. He graduated in 1993 with an B.A. in European Business studies from the European Business Program (Groupe ESC Bordeaux / University of Humberside) and holds a Professional Certificate in Technical Writing from the American University of Paris. Stuart is currently serving as President of the France Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.
