      Dr. Michael Fritz, tekom / tcworld GmbH, Germany

Michael Fritz holds a PhD in media sciences and a degree in business administration and specializes in marketing. He worked for several associations, e.g. as head of an institute for lifelong learning. Since 1996 he is Chief Executive Officer of Gesellschaft für Technische  Kommunikation e.V. tekom. Since 2001 he is also Chief Executive Officer of tcworld GmbH, a company providing services for tekom.

        Jang Graat, Netherlands
Jang F.M. Graat studied Physics, Psychology and Philosophy. Worked in high-tech computer business for almost 25 years as systems designer, technical writer, trainer and consultant. Started his own business 17 years ago. Has presented on a wide variety of topics in conferences around the globe. His main focus is on explaining technology to non-technical audiences and explaining complex concepts in a way that even his mother-in-law can understand. Has taught himself programming and now spends most of his time creating user-friendly tools based on FrameMaker and DITA. Loves to ride his Moto Guzzi to a conference (but that only works in some cases). Does not always wear the Dutch war colors on his cheeks.
  Marion Randelshofer, World Translation, Denmark
Marion Randelshofer has a university degree as a translator and has 12 years of experience as a project manager and operations manager in the translation industry. She is now Partner at World Translation A/S in Denmark, where she is responsible for the translation department.
   Louise Harrison,  England

Louise Harrison has an B.A. in Modern European Languages and an M.A. in Translation Studies. She worked in-house at SDL for a number of years, first as part of the project management team and then transferring to the office responsible for translation into English. As a member of SDL’s English Network Office, Louise completed her translation training by working on a number of key accounts and a wide variety of texts, eventually reaching the position of Senior Translator. It was during this time that she began to develop an interest in language consultancy.

Since leaving SDL in 2010, Louise has been working as a freelancer with a diverse set of skills: as well as being a translator in a variety of fields with a focus on technical texts, she is also a proof-reader and a trainer on writing using Controlled Natural Language. She has developed her advanced knowledge in this area through her close collaboration with some of SDL’s most high-profile technical clients. In the past year she has held a number of workshops for technical authors in the USA and continental Europe, from which the feedback has been extremely positive.

  Bo Brandt, nbCOM, Denmark
Bo has a M.Sc. in engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. He has 15 years of experience as a technical communicator with various Danish companies in software and machinery industries. For the last 4½ years he has worked as a consultant, through his own company. Bo is a tekom certified trainer in technical communication and part of the tekom Denmark country group initiative committee.

  Brian Dahl, Grundfos, Denmark
Brian has a long career in Product Development, particularly related to telecommunication, wireless products and other advanced technology based products. Has worked in several management positions throughout software, electronics and technical writing domains. Has been leading global Technical Marketing at Grundfos since 2010.

  Trille Korsgaard Kristensen, Siemens, Denmark
I have worked with technical communication in a variety of industries for 17 years. For 11 years I ran my own business offering consultancy and freelance work within technical communication. Since 2011 I have held the position as team leader of a technical publications team in Siemens AS Flow Instruments. I have an M.A. in Danish language and literature and an M.B. in Communication.
  Bo Weinreich, Ambercon A/S, Denmark
Bo Weinreich holds a Master’s Degree in English and International Relations. Starting out as a technical writer in the software industry, Bo later moved on to manage technical writers and instructors in the field of wind energy. Currently, Bo heads a drawing office with a major precast concrete element company. Also, Bo is a certified organizational coach and always looking for the right question to ask.

  Dorte Breitenstein Kristensen, Scanjour, Denmark
Dorte has worked with technical communication since the mid-‘90s and  mostly for international software and telecommunication companies. She is currently working as Documentation Manager at Scanjour A/S. A company that develops and sells enterprise content management systems. She holds an B.A. in English and French and an M.A. in Computational Linguistics and is a tekom certified trainer in technical communication and part of the tekom Denmark country group initiative committee.
