Conditions of Participation

By submitting application for a presentation (workshop, presentation, or panel discussion), you accept the following terms and conditions:

Selection

The applications will be selected exclusively by the tcworld India conference board committee. Submitting a proposal does not entitle an applicant to attend the event for free. The decision of the advisory board will be conveyed to all applicants, without providing any reasons for refusal or acceptance.

Obligation to Participate

The presenter undertakes to provide his artifact in accordance with the following guidelines, unless otherwise agreed upon with the conference management. The presenter is generally obligated to present the respective subject objectively, and in a vendor- and product-neutral way.

Personal Participation

The participation at the conference solely refers to the presenter, not to a company or any institution that the presenter may belong to. The presenter provides his or her presentation individually (if necessary with a co-presenter). The presenter treats the presentation subject in accordance with the scope specified in the application, and in an appropriate manner. Note that a selected presentation must be delivered by the selected presenter only. If a presenter revokes his or her attendance, tcworld India reserves the right to cancel the presentation, without replacement. If a presenter is unable to present due to health reasons, he or she should contact the tcworld India conference management as soon as possible.

Announcement and Presentation

A selected presenter must send the following documents or upload them on the "conference portal" website of the tcworld India 2017 conference within the set deadline:

  • the announcement text for the presentation
  • a short profile/bio of the presenter
  • a photo
  • an abstract for the conference proceedings: a two-page summary of the presentation as continued text (without slides)
  • presentation slides

With the submission of these documents, the presenter grants tcworld India (organizer) the full and irrevocable and royalty-free rights of use and the rights of reproduction, public access, and adaption (especially translations).
If the documents are not submitted in due time, tcworld India reserves the right to remove the presentation from the conference program. The presenter does not have any entitlement to compensation.

Participation at the Conference

Only one presenter receives a free pass for the tcworld India 2017 conference. Co-presenter(s) need to register for the conference.

Presenters' Meeting

Participation at the presenters' meeting on the eve of the conference is requested, but not mandatory. This meeting will be held on the evening of February 22nd. Dinner is included.

Cancellation of an Event

The tcworld India committee (organizer) is entitled to cancel or postpone a tcworld India conference due to serious reasons (for example, closure of the venue, nation-wide strike, etc). If an event is canceled, no claims can be made for the payment of the workshop fee or the refund of expenses.

Audio and Video Recordings

The tcworld India committee (organizer) is entitled to produce audio and video recordings of the event for documentation purposes or publicity, if the presenter does not object to this prior to the start of the event.

Liability

Presenters have to ensure that they have their own insurance covering accidents, illness, etc. With regard to their presentation materials, presenters will indemnify tcworld India from all claims by third parties that may arise from the infringement of copyrights.
