Anupama A, Head of Content and Linguistics, Tally Solutions

Anu A is currently working at Tally Solutions. Before, she was a Senior Manager at Cisco Systems. Her portfolio includes writers, and global teams of editors, and illustrators. She brings to the table over 18 years of experience spanning several enterprise software companies including Verifone-HP, and Sun Microsystems.
In addition, Anu A is one of the founding members of the STC India Chapter, and worked with the organization for 10 years in various roles such as City representative, Conference Program Manager, Competitions Judge, and finally President of the Chapter. She loves the field of Technical Writing and believes that there is a lot of exciting stuff to look forward to in this profession.


    
Kumar Dhanagopal, Documentation Team Manager - Oracle, Bangalore

Kumar Dhanagopal lives and works in Bangalore. He currently manages a documentation team in Oracle. Over the past 24 years, 15 of them in technical communication, he has worked for BEA Systems India, SAP Labs India, Intel India, and Bosch India and USA. Kumar has regularly presented papers on technical communication and allied disciplines at tc-world and other industry conferences. He has also published articles in professional-body magazines, taught technical communication to post-graduate students of Christ University, Bangalore, and written for a text book on editing for the Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has served as a paper selector and competition judge in national- and international-level tech-comm conferences. Kumar holds a master's degree in technical communication from Utah State University and a PG diploma in management. He is also a certified project management professional from the Project Management Institute. His professional interests include project management, technical editing, information architecture, and product usability/functional testing. During his free time, Kumar loves reading and traveling.

     
Akash Dubey, Section Manager - Information Development, Hewlett-Packard

Akash Dubey works as Section Manager with Hewlett-Packard. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of technical communication and has worked with multinationals such as Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, EMC Corporation, and Cisco Systems. He has managed documentation projects for data center technologies, content management systems (CMS), and backup/recovery software. He strongly believes in developing leadership pipeline, nurturing talent, and fostering innovation. He has conducted several leadership workshops as part of the mentoring initiative for documentation project leads. He has made several presentations on API Documentation and Content Management Systems at conferences and learning sessions. He has been invited to many national and international panel discussions on outsourcing and opportunities/challenges in emerging economies. He visits Christ University as a weekend guest faculty and was instrumental in starting a technical writing certificate course in partnership with Institution of Engineers (India).

Isabelle Fleury, Fleury & Fleury, Germany

Isabelle Fleury is tekom board member and Managing Director of the independent consultancy for multilingual information management Fleury & Fleury Consultants. She consults strategically and methodically with exporting companies and service providers to improve their processes, systems and communication. Her focus is developing efficient structures for content creation and multilingual publications across departments and locations.

     
Dr. Michael Fritz, CEO tekom / tekom Europe / tcworld, Germany

Michael Fritz holds a PhD in media sciences and a degree in business administration and specializes in marketing. He worked for several associations, e.g. as head of an institute for lifelong learning. Since 1996 he is Chief Executive Officer of Gesellschaft für Technische  Kommunikation – tekom e.V.. Since 2001 he is also Chief Executive Officer of tcworld GmbH, a company providing services for tekom.

     
Stefan Gentz, Owner tracom, Germany

Stefan Gentz is owner of tracom, a German consultancy with focus on the TechComm and Translation industry. With a deep and broad knowledge and long-time experience of content management, authoring and translation tools, techniques and processes he helps organizations to manage their global content challenges successfully, reduce costs and become more efficient. Stefan is also a certified Quality Management professional, ISO 9001 / EN 15038 auditor and Six Sigma Champion.
     
Prof. Jürgen Muthig, President tekom / tekom Europe

Prof. Jürgen Muthig (53) teaches at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in the faculty of Information & Media Management. His focus areas in teaching and research are structuring and standardization in technical communication, usability engineering and target group analysis. In collaboration with Prof. Schäflein-Armbruster he invented and developed the Functional Design Method for structuring and standardizing information products in and outside the world of XML. Prof. Muthig is head of the continuing education program in technical documentation at his University. Since 2008 he serves as President of tekom, the German Association for Technical Communication, and in 2013 he was elected President of tekom Europe. In his free time he does things unknown to most.

   
Sandhya Prasad, Director Central Technical Communications, Cisco

Sandhya Prasad is Director, Central Technical Communications, at Cisco. She has twenty eight years of global experience in technical communications, training, production, visual communications, internal communications, and knowledge management. She has been an active contributor to the Indian technical communications industry in India since its inception. She has presented papers, conducted workshops, written articles, been a judge and a moderator, and was STC India President in 2009. She has had long stints in companies such as Intel and Oracle, and prior to Cisco, she worked at SapientNitro as Director, Professional Communications.

Roopa Ravikumar specializes in Knowledge Management and Technical Communication. She is currently working as Director - Knowledge Management, at SAP Labs India. She is a leading member of the information development community at SAP and has spearheaded many initiatives relevant to knowledge management. Roopa is currently responsible for managing cross-application programs for SAP Business Suite. Her responsibilities include providing effective knowledge transfer and user-support offerings that help customers reap maximum business value from their new or existing SAP solutions.

Based in Australia, Dr. Tony Self has been involved in documentation for 30 years. In 1993, Tony founded HyperWrite, a consultancy specializing in hypertext. Tony is an adjunct fellow at Swinburne University of Technology, the author of "The DITA Style Guide", and a member of the OASIS DITA TC.
