Digital Distribution of Product Information

Fredrik Larsson, Manager, Digital Development, Semcon Sweden

There is an increased need to make sure that each target group has access to exactly the right information at all time, regardless of where the user is located on a global market. The right structure of the information gives the possibility to distribute information through different digital channels. Semcon works as a partner to global automotive OEM's and will show reference cases on how to develop and deliver aftermarket information in a user-friendly way.
There will also be a demonstration of how information reaches different target groups through an established digital distribution platform (online, apps, etc) to ensure continuously updated and always available information.

Tasks, Roles and Competences of Technical Writers
Dr. Michael Fritz, CEO, tekom / tcworld GmbH, Germany

The creation of high-quality technical communication content is a quite complex process which requires highly qualified staff. tekom, the European professional association for technical communication, has recently created a new taxonomy which describes the many tasks that must be fulfilled in this process, the different roles that must be covered and the competences necessary to achieve the desired results.
Dr. Fritz will present the taxonomy, and discuss how qualified technical communicators / technical writers meet new challenges such as
•    Intelligent Information,
•    mobile documentation and
•    documentation in the cloud.
